I purchased an IWC aquatimer automatic (titanium) a few years ago. I love the watch but the crown screw stripped. Since it was an IWC I thought i’d have no problem getting it taken care of by the company at no charge. I was astonished with the reply from IWC in America, I sent the watch to Huston, Texas. They looked at it and said with a payment fo approx. $900 USD, they’d send the watch back fixed…I really got screwed by IWC. Not something I was expecting when I dished out $5200. for the watch..
I won’t but another IWC..

Hi, I am an avid IWC fan and I am quite active on the main IWC forum from http://www.iwc.com. I stumbled upon your website while searching for Georges Kern, the CEO of IWC. Your blog is well laid out with good references.
I am based in Singapore and for my own interests, I am going to gather some IWC collectors together for regular meetings in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur(Malaysia) to exchange ideas and discuss about watches.
Where are you based, btw?
Best Regards,
