In 2012 Basel World, Breguet introduced a number of new masterpieces to showcase the brand’s superb watch making skills.
Breguet Marine GMT 5857 watch
The watch has the 42 mm diameter case made of 18 K rose gold or stainless steel and the welded rounded lugs. Different materials match with different color dials to emphasize the contrast effect; the stainless steel model use the silver-plated gold plate, while the 18 K rose gold use the black rhodium plating. The dial is engraved with the wave pattern and has two zones display. In the position of 6 o’clock, the eccentric hour marker circle is the standard time zone. The date window of the standard time zone makes the watch more practical. The 24 hours plate is in the position of 2 o’clock. The hour mark circle also uses different style to distinguish; the Roman numerals stands for the standard time zone, while the Arabic numerals represent the second numerals. It also has the pin and hollow Breguet blue steel pointer. Through the sapphire crystal glass case, we can see the perfect operation of automatic winding movement Caliber 517F. The movement uses the silicon escapement devices and the silicon flat balance spring to ensure the accuracy frequency of the balance wheel which runs stable in the rate of 28800. The power reserve is about 72 hours. The watch is equipped with a black rubber strap.
Breguet Reine de Naples gold thread bracelet 8908
2012 is very extraordinary year with significance fro Breguet when it is 200th anniversary of the world’s first high-level and complex watch that the Naples Queen Caroline Murat customize to Mr. Breguet and the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Reine de Naples collection. In order to celebrate these historic events, Breguet factory launches the new model: Reine de Naples 8908 which is inspirited by the custom-built watch of Naples Queen.
The watch uses the 18 K white gold case with goose egg shape and the size of case is 28.45mm*36.5mm. The diamond bezel is inlaid 117 pieces of diamonds, a total weight of 0.99 carats. The 18 K gold silver plated dial with Tahitian black nacre is engraved the pattern by hand and shows the hour and minute in the middle. The small second dial is located in the position of 7 o’clock. The rhodium-plated moon phase indication and the power reserve indication are all in the position of 12 o’clock. The index ring adopts the Roman numerals and the pin-hollow Breguet blue steel hands. About the power, the watch is equipped with the automatic winding movement Calibre 537DRL1 and uses the linear Swiss lever escapement and the balance wheel hairspring whose vibration frequency is 21600 times per hour. The power reserve is up to 40 hours. It can waterproof to 30 meters. The watch is equipped with 18K white gold bracelet with screw thread.
